"all creatures of our God and King..."

guys, i totally forgot to tell you a funny story from when i was in s'pore. while i was at someone's house, i went to the "toilet" as they call it, which was kinda extended off the kitchen...still enclosed but outside...and as i was tinkling, i looked over to my side and saw a pretty good size pink frog--kinda looked like those tree frogs but bigger--perched atop the toilet paper. i kinda chuckled and thought, "ha, now that is cute. it almost looks real but tree frogs don't get that big." THEN, that "cute tree frog" jumped right over my head and landed on the back of the toilet. i screamed. hello, its not everyday a pink frog jumps over your head after you stared at it and thought it was fake--might i add i was in a pretty vulnerable state--its not like i could DO anything. needless to say i made it out alive. whew. note to self: pink tree frogs the size of normal frogs DO exist and they habitat in Singapore bathrooms.
now i remembered this only because today, i ran back into my hotel room to grab something and saw something move--turned my head--saw something look at me--and then disappear. gosh. whatever it was, i wanted it out of my room because i knew the moment i left it would crawl under MY covers. so i got the coathanger and tried to the "get close enough to jostle it then quickly move back and be ready to hop on the bed in case it runs towards your feet" deal...a few times. arrgg. i had to leave but it was on my towel that i was going to have to use in the morning!!! plus i didn't want it there when i got back. finally i got a clean veiw. pink again. good greif. okay so its a lizard. i can deal with that...its not a ginormous roach, not a mouse, not a spider. i mean they ARE supposed to eat the skeeters (mosquitos).
